Andrew Bates, a campaign spokesman for Joe Biden, said a review of Biden’s schedules from 2015 finds no record of any such meeting. Officials who worked for Biden at the time told The Fact Checker that no such meeting took place.“I was with the vice president in all of his meetings on Ukraine,” said Michael Carpenter, Biden’s foreign policy adviser in 2015. “He never met with this guy. In fact, I had never heard of this guy until the New York Post story broke.”

The New York Post article also cites an email from Pozharskyi to Hunter Biden saying he was “going to share this information with the US embassy here in Kyiv, as well as the office of Mr Amos Hochstein in the States.”
“I know for a fact he never contacted me or my office,” said Hochstein, who at the time worked closely with Biden as special envoy and coordinator for international energy affairs. “I provided every record to the Senate investigation, and no mention of this guy was ever made, no emails, no correspondence. I know almost every player in the energy sector in Ukraine. I never met this guy.”
Carpenter said that the vice president wouldn’t have had a meeting with a company executive. “He was the vice president of the United States,” he said. “He met with prime ministers.”
This does not exclude the possibility that Biden briefly shook hands and chatted with Pozharskyi during a public event. Hunter Biden, for instance, helped arrange for a potential business partner, Jonathan Li, to shake hands with his father in the lobby of a Beijing hotel when the vice president made an official trip to China.

So, basically, Rudy Giuliani is spreading Russian misinformation. The Russians hacked the Ukrainians and got some genuine emails, mixed those with fake ones, then passed them to Donald Trump's lawyer.

Just read Twitter's statement. It wasn't banned because it is bogus. The NYP article breaks a couple of their rules i.e. includes personal info (phone numbers, email addresses) and includes images of hacked/illegally obtained material.
Team Trump still has a video up on Twitter about it that hasn't been removed, pinned by DJT.

Or maybe that's naive. The whole story is so ridiculous - to the point where I'm wondering if it's a test of how much narrative fabrication is believed. Obviously if it were true, it'd be bad for the Democrats, but Hunter Biden is not a government figure, White House staffer etc. I don't think the nepotism angle plays well for the Trump gang, either. It'll unsettle some people, and it'll get brought up to cast doubt on the Democrats at any given opportunity.
The US needs some independent people to fact check all this stuff, but of course everyone is partisan over there now and no one cares about facts these days anyway. Urgh, what a shitshow.

The purpose of stuff like the fake email story isn't to be believable, it's completely the opposite. The aim is to just overwhelm the system with fake news so that nobody can tell what's true and what's fake.

I think the October surprise was meant to be the investigation into the origin of the Russia probe, which just finished. Instead of Obama and Biden in handcuffs, the investigators basically reported that there was nothing to report and Trump is not happy about that. This just seems to be a desperate attempt to get some headlines about Hunter Biden

Yep, it's obviously insane but at the same time, impressive. I think if you combine all the time I've stood in queues for every election and referendum in my entire life, it's probably under 10 minutes. Every single person in those queues is awesome. Democracy, uh, finds a way.

I try my hardest to treat people as I'd like to be treated myself and I never wish harm upon anyone. That said, when Murdoch does shuffle off this mortal coil I am really going to have to put some serious effort into into saying anything more sympathetic than "meh".
In an ideal world, old Rupert would have to answer for the deluge of sewerage from his news channels that have caused real harm.

Honestly, I don't want to see Murdoch kick the bucket in that sort of fashion. To wish physical harm on someone is contrary to the way I try to be.

Biden had the floor to himself and could talk uninterrupted and unchallenged. He did go on a bit though zzzzz and is still dodging the supreme court question.
But it contrasted with Trump being his usual defensive self, arguing with Guthrie about his income tax, QAnon, the COVID response, his negative tests, dem governors, antifa etc. etc.
