I'm not sure ninfan is, in real life, anything like he is on here

I don't agree with the view point of a number of posters on here much of the time, but at least they are genuine.

I can't help but think ninfan is nothing but a troll, but lacks the wit and imagination of the likes of dtf

Woppit, yeah, but you’ve forgotten... the morally superior tell us that:

Common decency prevents us from saying hurtful, racist, bigoted or unnecessarily inflammatory things. It doesn't matter if those things are true, false, based on fact or fiction, opinion or experience.

As I’ve pointed out before, if Chewy, Jamba or I went about calling people ars@holes (etc.) on here then the mods would come down on us like a ton of bricks

Says the man who thinks the President of the United States can’t read

Like many he fails to display a basic level of comprehension, an inability to get the facts from the documents presented to him or stuff explained to him. The conclusion is either he can't or just won't accept that anyone knows better than him and carry on shouting.

He demonstrates on a weekly basis that he can't remember what he has previously said and gets caught in another lie, looks like the main reason he is unwilling to sit in a room with a trained investigator.

Woppit, yeah, blah blah blah...

On here, you actually ARE, self-evidently, an a*hole, which is why people who call you that don't get banned.

They're just pointing out the obvious.

He does seem to be strangely Teflon ATM thou can’t believe he’s managed a year in office.

I think he does speak for a decent portion of the population. He’s going to serve the full term imho and he could win again.

But with historically record breaking low approval ratings and high disapproval ratings are you sure this is true?
Whats your basis for the conclusion?

The Democrats first need someone appealing, credible and capable (though the last two didn’t really feature during the last election) to run against him, and I’ve yet to see anything.

As much as I hate the man, the one thing we must remember is that at every stage it was predicted he would tumble on the way to the White House he didn't.

By that I mean "the world" needs to ready itself for a possible second term.

Good knows I hope not but who knows?

As to his s***hole comment, if you write of countries and a while continent under one sweeping derogatory term? ?

Well, at best it shows a lack of comprehension and by the morality of only a year or so ago there would be no debate about if it is racist or not...

Of course it is racist.

He speaks for a portion - but not the decent portion.

Given I can't see how he will possibly attract anyone who didn't vote for him last time round, and hes even turning off those who did, I'd think he has absolutely zero chance of a second term. Unless of course he changes his behaviour drastically over the next 3 years

The only reason he won last time (and he didn't even get the most votes remember) is that he ran against the most unpopular democrat candidate in recent memory. One has to assume they wont make the same mistake next time round.

He’s got 3 years to deliver on his promises, he’s already delivered a sweeping tax reform, an increase in military budget and is riding the wave of the previous administrations economic planning success - all he needs to do is deliver the wall (even without Mexico paying for it) and he’ll be hard to beat, regardless of people’s hatred for the man.

Unfortunately the sweeping tax cuts could well send them much further into the red, he needs congress to approve the wall funds (they won't) and he needs to get through mid terms with a majority. Passing one bit of serious legislation in a year with control of both houses is terrible. He will be stuffed with losing one of them.

CBA reading all through this thread but I'm tired of the constant coverage on all the media platforms about everything he says and does, not just in the US but here too.The guy is a total d*ck but he won a fair, democratic election so get over it.Who started or perpetuated the wars in Iraq,Afghanistan,Vietnam,Korea? Who invaded Cuba,Panama or waged undercover wars in central and South America or killed thousands in Afghanistan and ****stan with drones and special forces or f8cked up in Iran or used American financial might to manipulate countries into acquiesence and god knows how much other sh8t stuff.Every US president has been complicit for decades.Do people really think that Trump is the only problem?

TBH he’s the car crash President people just can’t believe how he behaves so your likely to get the constant coverage.

He’s also the most powerful man in the world and he’s tweeting about his nukes and antagonising N.K. It’s not talk he can actually launch on a whim this is sorta worryingly news worthy.

Anyway if wasn’t him being covered you’d just be getting the ‘strictly’ gossip instead 🙂

Agree. Along with the fact he has another few years to say and do more ridiculous things and turning off more of his supporters.

Less than that. The mid terms could upset things. He might not get anything through after that.

That one policy as his legacy, well apart from seeing his kids in prison or trying to throw him under the bus.

Interesting analysis of the link between what Fox News has just streamed on Telly and Trumps tweeting:

Given he has a short attention span, is hugely reactive, and unable to seemingly have any empathy at all, it does make some sense!

Worryingly good reading and spot on from what we know of Trump.

Just how did America get here?

Wow.

If that checks out to be true* it’s simply jaw dropping.

That is surely reckless, incompetent and shows a flagrant disrespect for his position and the consequences of his actions .

Forget Russia collusion etc, how could this not be grounds for impeachment?

* note the IF statement.

He is such a perfect model for what a human being should NOT strive to be.

Saw this on a comments page following a Trump article on BoingBoing; thought it summed him up succinctly.
The article was Trump talking about what a great athlete he was, someone else posted this:
See how humble he is? He is, out of everyone in the world, the best at everything, and no one knows it! He really is the most humble person ever - all that being the case, he still manages to refrain from constantly telling everyone how much better he is at everything that’s going on than they are and/or just doing their jobs for them. Such restraint! Such humility!

Couldn’t have put it better myself.
America and Trump is like watching a multi-vehicle pile-up in super slo-mo; endlessly and horrifyingly fascinating to watch, unable to tear your eyes away from the spectacle.

What I find amazing is that none of his claims (high IQ, athletic prowess, best vocabulary, humbleness, exam results) have ever been called on or verified with actual facts. He just makes an assertion, and that’s that.

At least others put a figure on their greatness...

Good at cricket, the best, one of the greatest of all time

You know, like how Obama’s was called on his being born in America, him providing proof and people (generally) accepting this?

"This person on the west side that killed eight people and badly, you heard me say yesterday, badly, badly wounded about 12. I mean people losing arms and legs—nobody even talks about that. But they say killed eight and that’s it. I mean you have people—ones walking around without—missing two legs."

If they were to send a press release to Fox and Friends about it, DJT will be up to speed on the issue immediately.

Moral: don't call countries that have potentially incriminating evidence under wraps shitholes...
