Did you offer to resign

A hit. A very palpable hit.

Bridgen (asshole) was right about one thing, though.

I am surprised.

Jesus wept.

Mind you, that's my excuse for cheeky riding sewn up.

"Sorry, I was only riding to test my eyesight, and it turns out that my eyesight is so affected I must have missed your 'no cycling' signs".

Every cloud has a silver lining.

The other being that if there is more evidence being held back it increases the chances of him taking Johnson down too.

Now, barbecue. And planning a riding trip, I've got a 250 mile radius to play with and my own interpretation of the rules.

No limits.

He genuinely thinks the government cannot function without him!

He thinks he's the Prime Minister.

A ‘complex situation’… he doesn’t have a simple life like us plebs.

This ‘test my eyesight’ excuse for the day trip isn’t going to wash with anyone (well, some will pretend that it does).

Again, another chance to apologise… never going to happen.

Well that's reassuring. He was told that he's not a danger to the public.

Evidence works suggest different

She just said exactly what I was thinking: why not test your driving for 30mins WHILE DRIVING TOWARDS HOME?!?

He's digging himself a hole, slowly but he is digging.

I'm bored of the droning bullshit now.
Going for my dinner instead before The Blonde Bullshitter gives the encore at six.

He went for a quick drive down the road to check his eyesight - a 60 minute round trip?!

Can his wife not drive?
Whatever else happens this will do him damage. It is rare you see a public figure squirm so obviously, people won’t forget.

What's everyone else who's had Covid with a young child done about childcare when they couldn't let anyone else in their house? Looked after them themselves? Let the kid scrabble around the house fending for itself for a week and hope it'll be alright?

He parked and did not get out of the car, apart from a walk to the Riverbank.

Have you read Cummings and his wife’s previously published accounts of how they dealt with this themselves? Much like that I suspect. And he still maintains that no outside help occurred, and no one else helped look after their child in the house they traveled to, or back in London after they traveled back.

Munrobiker, us plebs have feral children. They can live for weeks killing rats and eating for supermarket bins.
It’s all ridiculous. The elite are in a different world to us.

He genuinely thinks the government cannot function without him!

Now to be fair. It’s quite possible it can’t, they’ve really scraped the barrel with the current cabinet.

That last statement is pretty damning:

What's the safest thing for me.
What's the safest thing for my child.
What's the possibility of me getting back to work.

Nothing about other people - which the rules are in place to protect.

Surprised that none of the interviewers are giving him more grief for the eyesight test.

Not sure if safe to drive, so drive 30 miles with your wife and child in the car.

Lots of woolly deflection BS about his "interpretation" of the guidelines, but the "eye test" is a special piece of nonsense. He's suggesting his eyesight was wonky, he didn't feel great and thought he might be a danger to other people on the road, so he decided to go for a random test drive for an hour.

According to wikapedia his wife's birthday is the 12th of April, same day he went to Bernard Castle!

Does anyone have access to ancestry.com to see when his mother or fathers birthday is?

I told Mrs D what he said about the eye test and she didn’t believe me. Didn’t think anyone could come up with such a poor excuse...
