Me and the Mrs have got her dog back from her parents, we've been in rented accomodation until now so we can have her back.
Last night she was up all night whining, crying and generally sounding uncomfortable.
I know this is probably a cry for attention, but it was upsetting, and the Mrs did something that was probably the worst thing to do, and knowing I was up for work at 4am she went and spent the night on the couch with the dog.
Has anyone got any idea of what to do tonight? Or is it just a case of a few nights of letting her cry?

This. At least if the dog is anything like my puppy - the first couple of nights were hell, but he finally worked out that we don't abandon him permanently every night...
The dog will stop crying if he/she gets to sleep in your room. Whether you allow it or not is your choice.
Hmmm. Not a fan of dogs in my room. Looks like I'll have to just try and put up with a few nights of poor sleep!
Not ideal when I'm on earlies!
