Morning,
Looking to book a birthday break for Mrs CJR with Jnr CJR and Dog next month and looking around at holiday cottages. Won't be taking a bike so doesn't need riding locally, but something dog friendly, toddler friendly and places to explore locally (NT, Castles, Historic, Forests...).
Has anyone got any good recommendations?
Been browsing on the usual cottages websites but not found anything quite right.
Been looking around New Forest, FoD, South Wales, South Yorks and Derbyshire so pretty wide search area!
Thanks
Chris
Try air bnb and you can filter for properties that allow smelly animals that leave hair everywhere too ๐
We've stayed in a few in the Borth y guest area , plenty of castles , beautiful beaches and woods . You might struggle to find much choice for next month .we booked through trip adviser .
Thanks. Never used airbnb before. Much more there than I realised.
Any considerations with airbnb or is it all pretty obvious? Assuming 'superhosts' is a certificate of excellence type thing? Thanks
NT, Castles, Historic and Forests?
Nothing like that around here.

Looks nice Drac but booked for our dates.
Yeah most places up here will be as those with kids take their holidays straight after the term starts.

was the BEST holiday cottage we have EVER stayed in!
Ticks all the boxes that you're after, but chances are it'll be booked up as it's extremely popular.

edit: yup, September all gone.[/i]
Have you checked TJ won't be in the area? Does dog have helmet?

Not cottages, but lodges
Stayed in the number of the "forest holidays" cabins throughout the country, they match your requirements, assuming they have a dog friendly one available. Though far from the cheapest of options, are reliably clean/tidy, and are ALL exactly the same, so you know what your getting no mater which site you visit. Had some great holiday cottages too but being able to predict/know what your walking into the "FH" cabin has it's plus points

Stayed a couple of times. Great riding too
Thanks for all the ideas. I've definitely left things a little late so will be playing the airbnb card I think!
