I would like to do a lot of cycling abroad and about our country next year. I want to find out if anyone has been caught up in one of these flash floods or similar events and what exactly took place.
They seem pretty horrendous and if you have kids, terrifying as well. Anyone been caught up in extreme weather conditions?
And do you have any advice on dealing with them.
Been in the middle of several cyclones and a couple of floods as a result.
You don't deal with them. You make sure they don't deal with you.
Fair enough. any photo's?
speedos, wellies, stiff upper lip
(no photos, soz 😉 )
Does anyone think that if you live in an area that suffers from flooding a life preserver in a cuboard might not be a bad idea!
If I were you(and I'm not, thank god), I'd stay at home. Much safer all round!!
are you a mentalist or something? i've travelled all over, from NZ to South America and never felt the need to investigate flash flooding prior to departure. if you want to go somewhere go somewhere. sounds like pipe dreams. unreal
surely you should be more worried about your back/knee whatever part of your body it was packing up?
Please reassure us you have not bred as well 😉
I'd be more worried about having my bike stolen.
😆 he would get another from his international network of suppliers so no need to be concerned on that front.
😕
Surely all you need to do is work out where the stars are and then apply your theory of 'Stellar Realignment', which will give you warning of extreme weather conditions ?
Can't you do that ? ......no ?
I feel let down and disappointed now 😐

Is yer back better then?
Disappointed in you even your insults are not up to your usual high standards.
Glad your back is "cured" next year...see ernie he can see some things in the future.
I once cycled in bad light.
How did you cope MrNutt ?
Any tips or advice ?
I tried squinting, it didn't help.
Sounds dreadful.
I bet you won't let yourself get caught up in poor light conditions again.
Have you got a life preserver in your cupboard btw ?
several, all of which, glow in the dark.
I've made my own out of uranium filled sheep intestine and a couple of old pub bikes, I also occasionally use them to remove excess heel callouses by pedaling at a tremendous speed. Its quite a marvel to behold.
You're kidding me ?
HELL NO!
Jeezus 😯
Just out of interest, how many pairs of socks have you got ?
0.5 goddamniit! have you been thieving from my washing line again?!?
Not me mate.
Ever hung your washing on the washing line and a flash flood comes along and washes all your washing away ?
I hate it when that happens.
nah, I live in a windmill and nail all my clothes to the sails once a month, Mrs Wettingdale at the end of the lane is really beginning to get on my tits too, but thats another story.
