it seems at this time of year my asthma kicks off..i pressume its the start of the pollen season
it winds me up just as i start upping my training i'm forced to take a couple of week off
Don't have asthma and never had hay fever until the last couple of years, getting ready for it to kick in with the tree pollen, not good for someone who builds trails in the forest.
Yep, asthma and hayfever and itchy f'ing middle of my head, down my ears, back of my throat my god I can't bear it any more syndrome.
I love summer but I also hate it......
Funny you should mention it, I thought it was the Saharan dust cloud but as the cloud seems to have disappeared and my chest is still tight and the Ventolin is out. Hey ho! 6 asthma free months is ok.
Yup, me. Usually starts with a spring cold, then doesn't go away until a long dry warm spell. Just struggling out of my cold and getting very wheezy. I ****ing hate it - and as stated above, it usually kicks in just as I'm upping my training (only to lose all the fitness I gained over the preceding months). Asthma - I shit on you!
Tree pollen, trees are full of blossom atm
mine usually flares up in the autumn, when the mould appears on the ground.
mine kicked off with a sore throat last week
ive ridden the last few months in snow, wind, rain, done countless hours on the turbo trainer and when its cracking the flags like last weekend i'm wheezing like a good un..
Nope..... Cold winter morning lung-fulls sets me off.. Long live the warm air!
No excuse though, didn't that Lance chap have Asthma?
perhaps he did....but if he's got that bad he still got paid for having a week off...i don't
Maybe. Had my review the other day and hit the peak flow meter at 810. Nurse thought I'd flicked it with my finger! ๐
Hay Fever is a real downer though - if I take the medication I'm a zombie for 3 or 4 days after starting. If I don't then I look and feel like I've got the mother of all colds for a couple of days.
Bah.
What you need is a purple inhaler, seritide I think. It's ace stuff.
It could also be triggered by dust mite if I am not mistaken.
I used to have terrible asthma from when I had whooping cough age 5-6 but smoking some primo skunk fixed it for me. Actually had pretty bad hayfever too and that's also gone...
Hayfever, Asthma, yes you're right this is the time of year it all starts to come on board ๐
Yup, all year round ๐

But you end up with a knackered air tube and end up having to gargle with a salt solution ๐ Use sparingly ๐ก
