I've not bought one before but the time has arrived. Are the zippos good or electronic chargeable ones the way forwards?

Get a dog, the little presents they leave in those black bags are the best handwarmers on a cold winters day and make excellent stress balls... ๐Ÿ˜€

Do you have a favourite pocket warmer?

Cupping the manhood through trouser pocket acceptable? On a hill day, it is usually a warm place...

On stationary days I have taken a flask of boiling water. Pop a stone in the cap, pour on water, leave a few mins and you have instant handwarmer. Refillable as long as the water lasts....
On canoe days, this is repeated with bigger stones and water or in base of fire....seems odd adding a slab of rock behind your buoyancy aid, but it keeps me warm...

a zippo convert here. Very effective if a little stinky. Not unlike 4130s0ul's little black bags.

the lad (who works outside in all weathers) swears by his zippo, though it gets through fuel like nobodies and is quite fussy on the type of fuel too.

I've got two of these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351238651305?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&var=620409771959&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I also have a zippo one. The ebay ones are at least as good and far cheaper!

Zippo is made by Whitby - I have a couple of Whitby ones that I'm taking to the arctic in February - at least to keep my boots warm during overnight bivvies
