Just about to book my CBT through groupon. £57.50!

It states that I need to bring along my provisional licence and paper part. If I hold a full driving licence can I take that along with paper part instead? Googling isn't clear and the office is shut for the weekend. I imagine I'll be fine.

I didn't think that you could apply for a provisional if I hold a car license already.. The advert T&Cs just aren't clear.

You don't need a provisional as you have a full licence.

Your full car license is your bike provisional as long as you have bike entiltlement on your license ?
A lot depends on when you passed your car test as newer licenses don't include it as standard like the olden days 🙂

Yeah - you need to make sure you have motorcycle provisional entitlement on your licence. It's not there by default (you had to tick the box when you applied). If not, it's back off to the dvla with the appropriate charge for amendment.

IIRC I had to get car provisional put on my licence (had a full bike licence already) and also had to redo the bloomin theory test- the hazard perception's harder as an experienced road user than it is as a noob, too easy to beat the buzzer!

Those of us who've never done a theory test have motorbike provisional by default. Mind you I'd also struggle with bringing my license and the paper part.

A small price to pay for youth 🙂

My favourite bit was when I got the dates wrong and had to do the theory test for a third time as it had expired a week before my driving test. I should have a loyalty card.

Hmm. I'll phone DVLA monday.
Passed my driving test 4 years ago so it sounds like I need a new license.

Cheers for the help!

Check the back of your license. At the top it should say A1 A2 and A iirc. With pics of bikes on there. If it does and has no dates its got entitlements. I have a full car license and I have too redo my CBT as it lapsed and I just bring my paper and plastic license and I'm good too go.
