Pre orders online and a free download.
It's a nice trippy tune, unlike most of shadows previous stuff.

Heard this last night, last two albums were too much of a departure for my liking, but this is well nice

Pre-emptive strike was insanely good too, and although an offshoot Camel bobsled race (q Bert) was pounding as well

Funny this, I was thinking earlier about what might be my favouritest tune ever, something to lose yourself in. It's quite contextual for me but this always comes to mind first.

Went to a nightclub in Vienna a few years ago and DJ Shadow turned up to play a secret set.
Freak me, great night

Endtroducing came out in my college days, evokes brilliant memories for me. Great album. Organ Donor extended mix FTW!

Entroducing one of if not possibly my favourite album of all time. Midnight in a perfect world is so so good.
Quite like the private press, the outsider, um not so much.

If you've not got it, I can recommend DJ shadow in los Angeles a great DJ mix, some of his stuff mixed in with other records.

Endtroducing kind of passed me by at the time but I've recently been listening to it lots and loving it. What else should I be listening too that's similar?

Going off at a tangent slightly but his collaboration with the Cut Chemist "Product Placement" is great.

Saw him live in 2011, the Shadow sphere was awesome.

Product Placement is awesome. Nearly as awesome as The Ultimate Lessons (also with CC and others).

Enyroducing is a phenomenal album. I saw him with Cut Chemist playing Afrika Bambaata's record box on the Last tour and it was a quasi religious experience for me. I'll be seeing him play the new stuff in jim at blue dot festival. I can't wait!

If you are new to RJD2 though start off with deadringer and work in chronological order, like shadow his newer stuff is not the same.

I'll look forward to the new shadow, but don't expect much!

Private Press was a good album, Entroducing better. Saw him love a few years ago and that was a good show.

I'll at least give the album a listen...

Whilst Product Placement is grand Brainfreeze is still the benchmark.

Following on from this thread I mooched over to Amazon and saw that Zoverstocks/Music Magpie were flogging off DJ Shadow/Jurassic 5 CDs for about £1.50 delivered. So I have a shed load heading this way. Hate to think what the original owner got paid for them...
