Hey All,
We have a 1950s(?) en bloc garage at the foot of our garden. Construction is concrete section with cement bonded asbestos roof.
The garage its self is water tight but suffers from condensation build up through the winter months.
There is a ventilation flow (under garage door & out through the roof overhang.
It only causes issue for things like paint cans, un blanketed bikes etc.
A good deal of the condensation build up stays on the underside of the roof but after a couple of days of build up does drip.
Any suggestions as to what I could do to: reduce the build up - more ventilation? Or try and tackle the problem in a cost effective manner?
Not sure if its a contributing factor but the pitch is really quite shallow ๐
Please help as we may be needing to store a car in there this winter!
I improved mine a bit by scraping most the moss off the roof which allowed it to dry more quickly.
The plan was to spray some weedkiller on to remove the rest and paint on some unibond or some other product that would make the roof less porus but I was not happy scraping the asbestos any more as some dust was coming off. โ
so I just left it ๐ฅ
