Does anyone know what the dimensions of a mountain bike, bike box are approximately?

They vary, but 135 x 20 x 80 would be a good average.

Don't get one from Decathalon. They are about the size of a small house.

check with the airline if you are flying with it as I got one from LBS & it wouldn't go through x ray machine (too big). A big airport may have said they were too busy to manually search but it was Blackpool & they searched manually.
Also, if you book it in as a bike its 35 gbp or so, the box is luggage so 22 gbo, jet2.com rates.
