I've been rationalising my portfolio of bikes and bits selling them on eBay. I've just had a message from ebay that I have exceeded the £1700 limit that they have to report my sales to HMRC, so need my national insurance number. Has anyone else been sent this?
Apparently this means I now need to keep records to prove that I'm selling personal possessions. If this creates more admin for me, then I'm going to stop selling things on ebay and look for alternatives.
