going our for a lovely peddle on the bike.
I know a marketing manager for a bicycle company that posted on social media about going for a peddle.
Seems legit, Marketing's entire raison d'etre is to peddle things.
Quite a few folks confuse I. I mean confuse me. I mean confuse “me” and “I” when it’s “me and” or “I and”. As in: “that was my wife and I in the restaurant”. Ouch.
The worst serial offender for this is that Kirsty (bloody) Allsopp on TV; she's forever at things like "Would you like Phil and I to do A, B or C" or "Phil and me will just go and do X"
I hasten to add that the programmes are favourites of Mrs Lawman, not my choice. But every time I hear her say stuff like that, I want to kick the screen in.
This morning on the World Service Business Report i listened to an interview with a Lithuanian microbrewer who kept referring to the "increasement" of costs to his business due to inflation. It was ****ing brilliant.
I know a teacher who puts up regular posts on FB about going out going our for a lovely peddle on the bike.
Oh sweet baby cheeses, teachers! I've been restraining myself for several years from writing to my kids' teachers to protest at their use of incorrect spelling and grammar, because I don't want them to be impacted by the behaviour of their pedantic father... but it's really hard not to snap. A recent example: One of my boys was doing a project on 'mold.' It was spelt that way everywhere throughout the project and asessment.
