When I learned that Rachel meant "little sheep", the choice was obvious.

The temptation to change your surname to Jalfrezi must have been almost overwhelming.

Being addressed as your former identity, whether deliberately or through thoughtlessness can be very hurtful.

Indeed! Ernie Tyrrell was very much made to regret this by Muhammad Ali.

I've disappointed people on forum meet up's before when I have to reveal that I'm not actually called Tina despite people abbreviating my username.

Can't see why you wouldn't- why would anyone want to hide their real identity?

I constantly have to mentally correct myself when talking or thinking about them

Surely you mean 'her' ? Sounds like it's still a struggle. Can't be easy, tbh.

Some people identify as “they/them” as opposed to “he/him” or “she/her”. Could well be what that person asked for.

It bothers me as much as it amuses me when people reply to me in a thread as "Phil". Some people that know me in real life will realise who I am straight away.

I'm not sure why it bothers me though. Probably a matter of not following the convention for an online forum of not signing off, and certainly not with your real name. Then again maybe it's not her (or his) real name!

Are we allowed to make a joke about a trans with muscle memory?

It’s like the old days in here again, when it could take up to 24hrs for a moderator to step in! 😯

I assumed it was some clever automatic thing you'd set up but you actually type it, apparently without fail? - that's genuinely remarkable
