He's not been given special treatment I suspect - it's cheaper to let people out on licence than build more prisons so a lot of people with short term sentences get kicked out early and tagged.
Making space for the next politician to do bird.
Or they need to free up 75,000 spaces for all the twitterers that are gonna be banged up for contempt of court.
I absolutely agree that he deserved to be punished for his crime, but I question the value of sending him to prison in the first place.
