That is really awful, must have been horrific for family and friends there. I'd assumed he'd tried to fire a rocket or something but to actually attach a mortar to your head? Makes me feel ill thinking about it.
I messaged this article to a good mate of mine whose response was simply "what an idiot".
Incidentally, this is a guy who ended up in hospital after trying to light a rocket from between his butt cheeks.
He's a barrister btw.
It's been an odd and sometimes stressful weekend, and somehow this cheered me up!
