Ok might be having a bit of a midlife crisis...but my commute to work really does need a kick.
So
Any must haves for upbeat music?
How retro do you want to go?
This one always reminds me of finishing sixth form... [url=
I really need to go through my vinyl collection and mp3 all my old Hard House and Hard Trance vinyl. That would really sort you out.
Both spot on and uploaded....
Insanity...blimey that is going back...was that 89?
try the sean tyas podcasts
Where are they?
Where can I get some of the early 90's dreamscape and eclipse sets?
Might find a few on dnbshare.com.

Some good old school stuff in Rumour Records...The Old Skool Masters i think the series is called.
Hmmm toytown and heart of gold - now you're moving into the realm of full on happy hardcore cheese. ๐
[url=
Controller - In Complete Darkness. Used to love that track, it was a oasis in a big pool of cheese.
Back to the old school. Bassheads. Total classic - many fond memories of a misspent youth ๐

Not sure if this link still works but if not it's easy to find
hardly upbeat BB
i reserve Techno for faster Road rides
the answer to all your techno dreams lies here my friend
WARNING - HIGHLY ADDICTIVE WEBSITE
haha don't care if it's commercial or anythin, one of my favourite tunes of all time, all about the big snare with loadsa reverb!
Michael, you are an extremely bad person for posting that link.
Sweet mother of God! I only have 36GB left on this disk and there are sooooo many mixes on that site!
Damn you!
hardly upbeat BB
You don't get more upbeat than Strings of Life!
check these out:
steve lawler 'dark drums'
Quiver 'transport 5'
pole folder ' zero gold'
layo & bushwacker 'night works'
Found myself 'singing' this the other day
Dunno why Bush is at the start.
[url=
and only Dominator

For the end.
actually you are tight BB - there are some uplifting ones in there. Jeff Mills and Aphex twin might mess with your head a bit though. As will Plastikman, i think if i listened to spastik on a road ride i'd go into some kind of irretrievable trance. i might try listening to that and Roman Flugels 'Gehts nock?' on a ride and see what happens
That Rebel MC tune is awesome, one of my all time favourites.
Great listing BB: going to have dig out my old Red Planet vinyl now!
A more uplifting Oakenfold set:

and Dave Clarke in banging techno mode:

Roman Flugels 'Gehts nock
Indeed.
of course you'd need the noch-a-pella mix for the full on trance state
saw him in Berlin at the kunsthaus taschels squat/rave/arts centre
rather good

Resistance 'Final Frontier'
Ancient - and it still sounds like the future.
Yes. You simply cannot beat Underground Resistance.
had the pleasure of bending 'Mad' Mike Banks' ear for an hour or two at a Model 500 gig last year. ๐ณ It was also quite funny when I turned around and Derrick May was standing behind me.
My all time favourite UR track
Leftfield Not Forgotten:

and continuing the UR appreciation, one of my faves:

Much as I love old techno, it does evoke memories of a greatly-loved ex-girlfriend (who went on to help run the renowned Automatik night at the Rex Club in Paris). But then it's like disco music, the best stuff should make you feel rather sad... ๐

i came to techno late after an early career as a trance head/crasher kid. it's the wife's fault, she shared a flat with some of the people who started house of god in birmingham
i favour the Trance Nation series for general road riding/gym work. failing that the ipod is just on shuffle
Can't forget the jungle... some random selections...
