Just watching something on TV where they have a team of people investigating electoral role, loan details, shopping catalogue subscriptions etc to determine exactly where each parent lives to ensure they are not trying to get their kid into the 'right' school.

Watched something a while back where police forces were simply logging thefts from property rather than investigating or actually doing anything.

What is the view of STW - spend money finding who nicked your bike or spend money making sure Gemima isn't in the wrong class at school?

If you like you can comment of taking kids out of school during term time and being prosecuted.

Still plenty of opportunity for budget cuts then.

Two different things and paid for by different budgets.

Tough call on this - all crime should be investigated and law breakers punished, but there isn't the resources.

I guess your view on priorities will depend on whether you've had a bike nicked or been shafted for a school place by some Audi driving, Orange owning IT bod's darling....
