Looking into hiring a car with a choice between a Clio 4 or a VW Polo. Need to fit two bike hard cases in the boot (no rear passengers so seats down flat).
Does anyone know which has the biggest boot? And can either (or both) fit 2 bike hard cases in there?
Cheers!
New Polo is quite big, seats fold/flip forward. Of the two I'd say the Clio is slightly bigger. The hard cases should go in one on top of the other but I would check measurements with car websites as you may have an issue with height and of course the cases won't flex to allow you to squeeze them in. From my recollection they will not go vertically as roof height is too low. FYI I am considering a Polo as bike transport but it will only have to take one bike with front wheel off inside and I know that works.
By the way if you are renting be careful as they don't have to provide the exact car, only "or similar"
