Can see why sky wouldn't want him, as popular as the series is the format is quite tired, he sounds like nightmare to work with, racist, violent drunk doesn't look too good on ones CV
and he's gonna be very expensive.

He has a close relationship with the Murdoch's and rebekjah brooks though so there maybe some involvement

Clarkson would last 30 seconds on a commercial channel before being sacked for pissing of the revenue. Weirdly he's only been on telly as long as he has because it was Auntie

Him and May will pop up somewhere doing something arse-ish, that doesn't involve product in any way Hammond will stay at the Beeb

I also suspect the Hamster will stay at the BBC. He is BBC through and through and has done other stuff for them. I think he has legs doing other shows as well [ not that he is my cup of tea].

I dont think Clarkson has been on tv becuase its the BBC, its more to do with the popularity of the show.

But why has no one mentioned Idris Elba, i havent seen a single recommendation so far that I would consider watching apart from Philomena Cunk, she is just sublime, especially medicine crisps

I think he has legs

Just short ones.

Not as short as a real hamster's, but still quite short.

Rob Warner could probably fit it in around his WC DH commitments.

He's been building up the TV experience with that FMX stuff.

But why has no one mentioned Idris Elba,

It would really require a shake up of the format. He comes across great on camera and having worked with him he's exceptional in a filming environment, but I've always thought he looks very uncomfortable in front of a crowd.

it needs a complete new format, i dont think anyone would do the job if it was the same as they would be pilloried

Jimmy Carr would be good from a piss taking point of view and seems intelligent enough to do the serious bits.

I know he has been on driving the Daewoo or whatever but no idea if he is enough of a petrol head to warrant presenting TG.

Jimmy Carr

Good shout!
whilst keeping Hammond and May for a bit of continuity and "expertise". Can't see those 2 staying on though.
