sorry Cinnamon Girl. this is a question about the old VanMorrison song..
.
we determined the other day there are a number of old farts here so someone should be able to answer this question for me.. simply enough..was this song a hit in the UK?

the reason I ask ( does anyone really care? ) is that it came up on random plan on iTunes the other day and mrs. G said she had never heard it before.

ok thats all, and thanks.

G.

The [Neil Young original] single reached #55 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1970.
.
Been covered by many folk, including Motorhead, but not by Van the Man...

Good morning. My ears have been burning ๐Ÿ˜€

Check out "cinnamon girl" on the Live Rust album, fantastic!

If you need to know about any Van Morrison tracks, I'm your (old) girl who has a pretty extensive collection of Van the Man stuff.

Two legends that's for sure.

See 'solo singles' section. Suggests not.

k, thanks for the link Chris ( I looked at WIKI but the song.. not the artist..the way I'm screwing up today I probably would have typed in Neil Sedaka or something anyway )

that appears to explain Mrs.G's ignorance of the song.

now what explains the STW poster C_G ?

Went to see him at the Apollo last year. Waited all night for him to play CG, right up to the encore, edge of seats....and got The Sultan. EH?

Great concert otherwise.

grynch - there are a few versions around on various NY/CSNY albums.

WCA/Dez - you dissing me??!!

I've never seen NY in concert - I have this thing of not wanting to see my rock gods in case they let me down 8)

Not the case with my 'man of the moment' Joe Bonamassa. He's just released a stonking new album. Go see him April/May when he's in the UK again.

I don't do hangovers. Anyway I only had a couple of Leffe with Rich last night. Do you want to start a rumour about him and Aliegh?

CG, Aliegh - That is the beauty of rumours, they don't need to be based on anything ๐Ÿ˜‰

Might see you in Afan if you are there on Saturday
