Nice bottle of Cab Shiraz.

Actually, bottle number two - having dropped and smashed the first one. There was much swearing. 👿

On the plus side, my stepson is now hugely impressed and slightly awed at my extensive vocabulary

IIRC Ben Bracken is a branded Whisky that went bust and had the stock sold cheap.

not suprised with a name like that-- but in general its true that a major part of a cost is advertising--

a new thread is needed for imaginary brands.....

Gravy.

Plus Sainsburys TTD American style IPA, a Pilsner Urquel, a Theakstons OP, and a snifter of 40 year old port. Not in that order, obviously.

Was drinking pints of Landlord in my local before but stopped now as gonna go for a run first thing tomorrow.

After declaring I wasn't gonna drink all Christmas this year, tomorrow will be the fifth day of boozing in a row. No wonder I had sleep paralysis this morning. Got another two days boozing scheduled as well, so may as well make it up to the full 7 I suppose 🙄

Was Oyster Stout an hour or so ago, Cumberland Ale now, will be homemade eggnog in a bit.

Looking at our larder, you'd never tell someone in this house worked for the Marstons group of breweries....

Hawkshead Brewery Lakeland Lager, before that some M-Pire. Got some cider chilling - so what's a good mulled cider recipe?

Really should get my kids to leave a nip out for Santa.

Bought some sherry from waitrose in a daze yesterday, didn't so much as read the label, or price! Selected on the basis that it looked posh, was the last bottle on the shelf, and I couldn't be arsed to dive into the scrum in the booze aisle.

Turned out to be absolutely lovely, bollocks to the price! Tasted fantastic with stichleton cheese.
