Oh yes you can.

Wholemeal bread, chocolate spread, and a good crumbly like Wensleydale or Lancashire.
Failing that, a chalky Cheddar will suffice.

I had to give up cheese / dairy, I thought it would be a pretty difficult undertaking but I have to say I'm surprised at how quickly I didn't miss it. For about a fortnight I had to be pretty disciplined, after few more weeks I was pretty much over the whole notion. Now after a few years its actually pretty repellant.
