Dear STW,
Any recommendations of reasonably priced resorts and accommodation for a ski holiday in mid Jan. Initial thoughts are to hop on a ferry and drive over. Are there any places or companies that you would recommend. 2 bods going and both are intermediate to good(ish) skiers.

If there are only 2 of you, I'd try to leave the bookings as late as possible, January is always the quieter month and we've always managed to get late deals just a few days before departure.
I'm afraid driving is not going to be cheaper than a package if there are just two of you.
I'm driving to Bourg Sanit Maurice on Tuesday in my Motorhome with wife and two kids, camping is 103 Euros for 4 nights.
We ski at Les Arcs using the funicular and Ste Foy/Tigne via buses.
