New on the discovery channel, anyone watching? I find the main guy, Wayne dislikeable and a bit charmless, the show badly edited and confusing but I do like old cars.
Anyway, one thing I can't get my head around is how he makes money? It appears that people who want to sell their cars phone him to find someone to sell them to, or they just cut their own throats and sell to Carini way below the cars actual value.
Surely these people must have a clue what their cars are worth, and that an oil change and some new brake shoes doesnt add 20k to it's value.
Watched two. He does seem a bit of a twit - I like it when he gets all arsey when a car doesnt sell for what he thinks it should. Not going to watch any more as I cant see what more there is to see.
I think I'll keep watching - I'm desperate to know what the secret is to finding extremely gullible rich people keen to part with classic cars for a fraction of their market value.
