Not sure if I should be asking here but... my wife works for a local charity in Staffs that supports homeless people, victims of domestic violence (including children) and families in need. As part of a fundraising campaign, a local DJ (Perry Spiller off Signal 1) is due to hit the Kili peak some time tomorrow and she is trying to raise as much sponsorship as poss'... If you are able to contribute, please take a mo' to look at this link and maybe donate and good karma will come your way 😉
Thanks - http://www.archnorthstaffs.org.uk/
I don't want to sound mean or churlish, but given it's probably cost thousands of pounds to fund the Kili trip, would it not have been better to put that money straight to the charity, if her sole motivation is really raising money, as opposed to her own profile?
An alternative might just have been to say "This is a deserving charity that does good work, please donate". If it's about publicity, then the local radio station could have done all that and saved a fortune in airfares etc.
