8 year old Mazda 3 – 2.0 Sport with 42,000 miles on it has just been driven into causing damage to the rear drivers' side door which has damaged the side-impact bar etc so it needs an entire door. Assessor also says it will need most of that side of the vehicle repainting to blend it in.
I hope it gets written off, my wife not so...
