Hi - can anybody recommend a cheap place to get a car for 2 weeks?

Cheapest rate I am getting is 377 for a fiat 500 in August.

Any help would be appreciated.

Err where exactly ? August is absolutely peak season.

All the majors are there euopcar, avis, budget, sixt etc - have you tried holidayautos ? In the town in Paris where I lived there where a couple of local companies which where a bit cheaper but not that much.

EDIT: £377 for two weeks in August seems pretty cheap to me

The last time I hired a car in August all they had left was a Renault Express. We suffered, I'd have happily paid 377e for a 500.

Could you try one of the supermarkets?

LeClerc, Super U and Intermarche all provide vehicle hire services.

May be worth talking to them?

166 Euros for 2 weeks for a Fiat 500 for a 1000Km from them!

What's the point of asking for advice, then we try and help and you don't even recognise this?

Flounces off to help someone else...

Insure your excess with some one other than the insurance provider
