How can they have the guy who played Jonny Storm in Fantastic Four playing Captain America. Now in the Marvel Universe the Fantastic Four met up and worked with Captain America and the Avengers so this won't work.
I'd guess Marvel are leaving the fantastic four behind and not bothering to further their roles in future films.
Current thinking is the Avengers is the route they are adopting to progress story lines across multiple characters from Marvel.
Shame Iron Man 2 was shite, otherwise all good with these films. Can't wait for Thor & Captain America.
Who could play Captain England?
Stephen Fry?

Shortage of actors in the US?
Probably, judging by America's Got Talent.
The rights to various Marvel properties are owned by different studios – for example, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers are all currently owned by Marvel Studios and Paramount, hence why they can have those characters crossing over between movies. The X-Men and The Fantastic Four are owned by Marvel Entertainment and 20th Century Fox, so they can have characters going between movies. Spiderman is owned by Columbia Pictures, I think. So The Avengers movie wouldn’t be able to have the Spiderman/Scarlet Witch/Wolverine in the team.
It’s already caused a few disputes, because there’s question over what characters belong to which franchise (for example, Scarlet Witch first appeared in the X-Men, but is arguably better known for being an Avenger). I one of the studios recently did a few animated features of certain story arcs, but had to swap out characters because of legal issues – in Planet Hulk, the Silver Surfer was swapped out and replaced by Beta Ray Bill.
Being currently filmed in Liverpool docks at Stanley Dock and Manchester the northern quarter.
Marvel have bought back the rights for Spiderman. Ready to do an Avengers film.
Well the avengers are directly inspired from the ultimate line. The F4 from the originale one (earth 616). So to quote joe quesada: the ultimate heroes will never meet the earth 616 ones. Because if they do, it will mean we have run short of ideas.

So the same actor is playing two different characters in films where people:
turn invisible
burst into flames
turn into rubber
turn into a big orange rock
etc etc
but having the same actor is the unbelievable bit?
Right...
What do you mean "playing" Captain America!!?? Are you suggesting its not real...
The levels of geekery on this forum never fails to amuse... chapeau!
The old F4 franchise is dead. They are doing a reboot for sometime after Kenny Branagh's 'Thor' comes out.
Isn't Captain America meant to be a bit buff? Those blokes in Fantastic Four were kind of skinny...
They were filming part of the film near the Northern Quarter in Manchester last weekend.
yep they are rebooting F4
and ed norton wont be playing hulk in the avengers film as he wanted more money so marvel just said **** off, they are quite mercenary when it comes to their actors and it seems no hollywood luvvy is irreplaceable
im really hopefull that branagh will pull off thor, the trailer looks brilliant, i just hope that it all comes together\with frankennstein branagh had the actors, the look and feel perfect, just the script and for me the story sucked

Thats another problem too :S and they've replace Ed Norton as Bruce Banner.
Spiderman is getting rebooted too, WHOOP! That spiderman trilogy was cack.
