Shit.

On the nail.  The UK accounts for 65% of STW's readership.  TJ, PM me your address.

To be honest I’m not sure I care too much about the broader makeup of the readership in the context of this discussion. It’s the content generators that really matter to the health of the place. The IT competent can handle the vagaries of the site. It needs to be as point and shoot as possible to make as many as possible to want to bother to use it. Those with the most interesting things to say will not always be the geeks (like me) who know how to rid your computer of site specific cookies and cache. Clearly you don't have to be a IT nerd to know what to do, but it helps.

To all that have had trouble logging in recently, try this link - Reset Cookies. This link is also found at the bottom of the login page called 'Troubles logging in?'

This link will clear all singletrackworld.com cookies. This means it will log you out if you are already logged in. This will make sure any old cookies have been removed allowing for the new ones to work as expected.

If you still experience troubles logging in, please contact us here

I've just been looking at my cookies and I may have an idea.

Chrome users: after using the reset link above, try rebooting your device before attempting to log in again.

This worked for me.  Manually deleting the cookies myself and rebooting didn't seem to work.

Yup. Seems to work if you reboot after the cookie reset.

Nice one all!

Step 1. Click reset link - Reset

Step 2. Restart browser (or restart the device if you find that easier)

Feedback appreciated on these steps

Chrome does something funky with session cookies - I don't think that merely restarting the browser will work, you need to reboot.

I couldn't get in this morning, not sure about over the weekend, I'd not tried, but then it suddenly let me in. Clearing cookies hadn't worked. Have done so now anyway for good luck.

I'm back in too, still out on Firefox (clearing cookies made no difference) but OK on Edge. Aarons's still here, there are drug pushers on the right and some people telling me I have to be over 18 to use their sevices. Oh, and the Ford Focus ST set are revving up the chat forum. Other than that, all good.

Now seem to be issues with passwords? Ok on my iphone but can’t log in on desktop, keep getting a reCAPTCHA value error message and it doesn’t like my password.

Had something weird on my iPad this morning (was heading off to work so couldn't investigate further). The main forum pages showed me as being logged in - had the "Profile | Messages | Log out" links in the top bar but when I viewed an individual thread it changed to "Register | Log in". Going back to the forum page and it would show me as logged in.
