was ok for me last night till 2am 😯
After an all day and all night sesh I think this is the best game in the COD franchise so far.
No lag whatsoever on the 360 just takes a while to find available games.
Love it, my life, degree, bike is over for the foreseeable future.
Had about 5 hours on it last night.
I really liked the different format of being able to buy perks/ attachments etc. It makes it alot easier to customise your player to suit your own game style. Not sure about the maps yet. but I guess it's just a case of learning them. Do like Jungle in Free For All though and Nuke Town can be a bit mental in Team Deathmatch!!
The challenge system is better than the old format too. It will maybe force you to play other game types that you might not have played in the past.
Favourite player config at the moment is; Ghost/ Sleight of Hand/ Ninja with a silence Enfield and Camera Spike.
Bit old/OT, but is MW2 any good on the PC? I seem to remember people moaning about something to do with servers.
Arse - going to have to buy this now.... glad to hear there is less aircraft stuff.
Have they sorted spawn camping? Nothing pisses me off more than get killed, respawn dead immediately, respawn dead again etc... someones got a chopper gunner and is just shooting the spawn spot.
Bought this yesterday and installed it only to find that Steam wanted to download 8GB of patches before it'd let me play. Left it running overnight as the servers were struggling and hope to actually get to play the game tonight!
There's not really any less aircraft, it's just now you also have to pay for items with game credits not just unlocked at at a certain level.

Do you get screen burn on the projection screen?
My son is 13. I don't let him play this game as it has an 18 rating. Am I being harsh?
After playing for a bit, I don't think so no. Theres quite a few gory bits, like shooting someone with a shotgun close up makes a bit of a mess.
I think you can turn that off in the options though.
@poppa - MW2 is good on the PC it's just there are no longer dedicated servers, one of the people in the game runs the server part (and if they quit it takes about 30 seconds to bounce to another person before resuming again, which can be a pain). As there aren't any dedicated servers you just enter a lobby and get chucked in the first game available of the type you select, rather than being able to browse available servers and chose the one you want (based on ping etc.). You can set up groups of friends in the lobby so you all get put in the same game but that can take longer to find a game with enough slots free for everyone.
I think it's a step backwards and hated it at first but have gotten used to it now and although I still find lag more variable than dedicated server days it generally works OK as a system.
Back to the original topic - the Black Ops single-player is a revelation, I bought the game for the on-line play thinking I'd spend 5 minutes in the single-player but I haven't actually been on-line yet and have had the game for a couple of days now. Probably a mistake delaying in hindsight though as by now everyone will know the maps and best weapon/perk combos 🙁
My bro' has been playing BO and then went back to MW2 - says the graphics are [b]much[/b] better on MW2 (but maps bigger on BO).

I did a few hours playing Black Ops last night and while it's fine I also though the graphics were better in MW2.
For online gaming on the PC MW1 is probably still be the best - before it was dumbed down to the same level as the consoles. Some of the team deathmatches had huge player numbers and were excellent.

Graphic wise I'd say there's not a huge difference and anyway it's gameplay that counts and BO has plenty of that. Yeah the maps are much better I reckon.

I love it, but the servers are shocking. How many times do you get the 'connection interrupted' or 'cannot migrate host' message?

I got it with my new xbox for Christmas. Completed it on easy(recruit), and am shockingly bad - but then I've not played computer games for over 10years so no surprise really! I've done some online CT games for a laugh, always at the bottom of the scoreboard! Will be a different story when I get some other types of games though..
Anyone worked out how to join friends in the lobby? MW2 was easy - BOps doesn't want to work for us?
