On a Saturday? Are you mad?
I'd sooner read the thread about Osbourne saying no to whatever it was he said no to.
Meatballs with gravy and chips....mmmmm Enjoy!
Thank god I'm single. I told the last girlfriend that brought up the Ikea specter that I'd carry out a dirty protest if forced to go.
Tsk!
Bear
You are a big blouse,it's only a bit of shopping ,get on with it.
😉
I thought this was going to be another Scottish Independence thread, I'm not disappointed.
Can we have some candles please?
There are actually people who go to that godforsaken hole even when they don't need to.
Fork Handles ?
I went on a Tuesday afternoon and that was bad enough (under my own will as I didn't want to pay £40 for my desk to be delivered). It's depressing, seeing all the whipped men being forced around by their bossy girlfriends. The cake and coffee was alright for cheap though!
IKEA - Just say no

Or as we prefer to call them - PWBs
God forsaken places.
It's fun to play ikea bingo. Look for arguing couples, teenagers storming off, tantrumming toddlers.
Its been over 10 years since i had to endure the madness of Swedish shopping... I do remember the sensation of finding your car had shrunk when it came to trying to get all of the flat pack cr@p into it.
I'm out, alive!
Is in usual for there to be such a large number proportion of pregnant women in there?!
Did you shortcut? If so, that's cheating, so get back and do it properly.
Is in usual for there to be such a large number proportion of pregnant women in there?!
Yes it is. And it's contagious.
Why women want to drag us around that place or any shop I don't know.
We don't enjoy it , they get the hump when we get the hump.
I always drop them at the door then "spend hours looking for a parking space".
Am i the only person in existence who has never been to an Ikea?, they can't be that bad surely?.

Ignorance is bliss.
I've never been either, and I've been married 20 years 8)
Somafunk, as you get within half a mile of the place you will find yourself inexplicably getting angrier and angrier.

Most of them were unattached and single when they went in!!

Love the cat gif! 😆

Was it tea lights?
i only ever go in for the hot dogs. Can't afford anything else. 😥
Every time i go, i'm so knackered by halfway round i have to take a quick 40 winks on an aerioplonk or sit for a bit on a solbstrand. Occasionally, i'm so fed up, that even the greomcrunkblonyk starts to look enticing....... 😉

has to be 100 times better than going to Dunhelm mill..
Ikea's ok. Just go when it's quiet. It has a cafe and they look after your kids for free. Win.
We live very near one so we can pop down for some household items easily and enjoy a quiet cuppa at the same time.

This is like comparing a post phall shit with picolax. Neither is going to be fun.
Ernie - we know someone who works for Ikea sorting out new sites and stores. He will be disappointed that his store plan has been leaked
You need to be assertive and get your women under control. Just say No! in a firm tone of voice.
Been a while since I've been to Ikea - to be honest thought it was OK, as had pretty good idea what I was looking for, shortcuts are great. Get over it folks!
Dammit, I got 17 out of 20 in the quiz, helped by knowing what "lack" was.
I am sad.
Mrs rocket likes Ikea. Takes the kids & comes back with a kitchen tidy or something, I go for a bike ride
Win-win
I like ikea 😳
I get very cheap cookwear which is great for use in the lab. eg the 80p glass plate is perfect for putting on resin/solvent scales to protect them from drips and the pyrex baking dishes make good trays to use in the fume cabinet.
I also dont mind dunelm mill. Useful for things that are hard to find elsewhere 😳

The above just makes me feel if i'm missing out on something?, i drove past a Dunhelm Mill in Dumfries once - it looked like a post apocalyptic 50% off panoramic scene from a bad B-Movie.

Ever tried that tactic with your mother? Mine came over from Aussie for a visit and on day two insisted on visiting Ikea. She spent £40 (which is like a million Aussie dollars or something) on a few bits and pieces. We. Were. There. For. Four. Hours.
You know that Furkantig means “square” in Swedish to describe the candles that you have on your altar. And above it? The raddest picture of Euronymous ever. Seriously, you scare children and their parents alike, all while wowing them with your design sense. Please check out our agency site. We’d be honored.Until the light takes us, Your friends at Gatesman+Dave.
OK I've never bought anything from Ikea & have no desire to do so now! Oh and my wife is of the same opinion if only because she has a design degree in printed fabrics so has some very rigid opinions 😮
