Just got a burley trailer and need to fit it to a through axle bike. The genuine burley axle is bloody expensive and not easy to get hold of.
Is there an alternative?

Robert Axle Project might have something?

They're €50 and in stock at Rose Bkikes and Bike Discount. They ship very quickly from Germany.

Only 3rd party ones I've seen are the robertaxleproject ones (similar price to OEM). Not sure I'd go for any cheap ebay specials, we did have a burley trailer unhitch and it's not fun.

Burley was the cheapest option when I went looking. Thule and Robert Axle Project were a bit £more.

We've got one of these on each of our bikes, ranging from Q/R's to Maxles to old-skool nuts n bolts axle and it works perfectly.

There's plenty of thread on the Maxle'd bikes to hold the wheel in securely.

Needed a spacer adaptor to get it into the hooded drop-outs on my old Cotic Soul but other than that it's the same hitch on all bikes.
