1 lovely, juicy steak burger left from last nights barbie.
It's calling and tempting me from the fridge, the little minx.

Loads of garlicky salad and mustard dressing left, but no burger buns.
Don't fancy a walk to the supermarket.

Not proud, but currant tea cake or bread?

A real man doesn't need any kind of bread with a burger.

I had a very good burger yesterday for lunch. From the brilliantly named Thunder Burger!

Cracking beer list as well! Was rather a liquid lunch...!

Already gone by now I suspect. But I like two slices of thick white toast (unbuttered), cut into a burger shape with a large mug. Sun-dried tomatoes or other relish to finish. Much nicer than a bun.

It is ok to eat a burger without carbs, you know, especially if it's with salad, nom ๐Ÿ˜†

I'd be overcome by curiosity with the teacake option I think. Could be a taste sensation!

Djaustin talks the truth, white toast unbuttered works/would have worked well.

Thank you sincerely for all your advice - much appreciated.

I eventually went for the burger on two slices of wholemeal toast, mayo, salad and Colmans mustard.

It was delicious.

Originally hamburgers were served between slices of bread, not in a roll - so any self respecting orthorexic would serve it up between two bits of white sliced. That said those original burgers were flavoured with coffee and sugar, and various spices too, so you might as well empty out the whole store cupboard and mix it in.

Some claims that original US fast food burger was served in toasted bread, so there you go.

Obviously needs bacon, blue cheese and Heinz too.
