Sat in A&E for 3 hours at 6am morning waiting for a couple of stitches (gave up in the end).Watched f1 quali, watching moto gp now,to be followed by Leogang WC Downhill, moto 2,then F1 race.At some point I'll superglue the big gash in my hand up.
Reading the sunday papers, had a nice display over the house by the Red Arrows earlier before they left for the Cosford airshow
Working ๐
Still don't mind as much when it is hosing it down outside and means I am off for a long wekkend this weekend coming!
Wet weather usually means it's quiet so I can catch up on paperwork/browse singletrack etc
Just ridden the Beijing mountain bike course in 38deg blue sky. Now sitting outside a bar with a cold beer watching the world go by. The 'sights' are good too. Not one to boast though ๐
up at 9am, had porridge, walked the dog.
been in the garage assembling bits for a hack build.
does a truvativ gpx? chainset run on external bearings??
repaired a puncture on the wifes bike, replaced her grips with some nice titec loc ons.
repaired 8 inner tubes.
just eaten a corned beef, onion, tomato and humus sandwich.
gonna watch the bikes at leogang, then walk the dog in the pi55ing rain.
then have a early evening sunday roast.
then watch super league tonight.
i do wish i could ride, cos i love riding in the rain.
MrsMCTD was up at 5.30 to clear some old kids toys at a car boot - was glorious sunshine then!
Kids got me up about 7.30, we all had breakfast, showers, did homework, I did the ironing while they played on the CBeebies website, watched Friday nights Tour series race, MrsMCTD returned at 11.00 after it had been raining for an hour with MCTToys (yay!), just had a big lunch of pancakes, lazy afternoon before Jnr's swimming club at 4.00, then a big roast dinner when we get back from that
Bin drizzling since I got up. Trying to fix stupid poxy bloody PC again. Having no luck. In a foul mood, can't even play COD4:MW to relieve some frustration. Virtually shooting someone in the head would make me feel a bit better right now....
been out all morning watching wife & daughters do the race for life (half hour run to warm them up, preceded by standing around in the rain for bleeding ages
as they say, there's no such thing as unsuitable weather (... but there are plenty of unsuitable activities ๐ )

Watched Moto gp , now waiting for low water and the rain to ease off a touch and im off windsurfing . Then shower,Chicken Fajita's , F1 and sleep .
While walking across the park, with not another soul to be seen, watching my dog run around in the sideways rain, I wondered whether I should feel self righteous or a bit of a klutz. I think a bit of both will be fine. ๐
misses is reading a book im sat browsing looking for flat bars staring out the window at the non stoping rain wondewr if its going to clear up for a nice commute tommorow...havent riden sins bikefest.
Oh, i forgot - I'll also be watching the Leogang World Cup!
yep! was very good! gwinner takes it again.
I think a good kip is on the cards.. spent the last couple of nights sleeping under canvas with family and friends..
3 under two's amongst a selection of other kids.. all full of high spirits..
I need a little holiday after that little holiday.. had to pack up the tents in a monsoon too..
Hmm... canceled bike ride and I'm now sat in the kitchen, writing a 3,500 word article for the next issue. Current word count: 343...
I reckon I'll be doing the same Monday and Tuesday too. Then it's Mayhem already!
Thurrock cycle marathon, 50 wet and windy miles.
been to gym and did 30k on the exercise bike in just under an hour, mrsconsequence is currently out riding in the wood/rain/mud with our friend, they'll get back here after the ride to a house smelling of roast dinner (i'm cooking a slow roasted chicken sunday super roast as i type)
settle down with the roast and watch the f1 together ๐ lovely.
Didn't rainhere til about 10.30 - but my riding mates weren't about and I didn't fancy getting wet so went to the indoor skatepark to ride the bowl and mini Ramps with a few lads from another forum. Was great. Trouble I have now is finding the time to do both activities! Gave up skating about 15 yrs ago but had a mid life crisis and bought a new deck ๐
Spent the morning with the kids playing one of the free PS3 games from the welcome back offer then a couple of hours at he climbing wall...place was heaving.

Thanks for the spoiler you muppet!
Progressed to wrestling with my road bike trying to take a stuck pedal off whilst contemplating how to change a gear cable.
Going to have a break and take the dog out for a wet and windy run-around on the beach
Didn't get to ride today unfortunately/fortunately as I was busy becoming a qualified badminton coach. Quite pleased with myself, been meaning to do it for ages ๐
Pretty much wet myself at work listening to Rob Warner's commentary on the DH World Cup, now contemplating ditching cross country and getting a downhill rig (I believe that's the term?)...
Then it's off to the in-laws for roast dinner.

100km of rain and wind with mates. I can't wash the road stains off my legs, don't fancy a rub down with white spirit?

Can you post up the top 10 and times, then we won't have to watch any of it ...
Up and at them early doors for a road spin then to the Scarecrow Show in the village in nice sunshine with the family (sarf Leeds here)
Home for lunch just as the heavens opened. Just woke up after sleeping off half a bottle of wine!
Had an organised farm visit to go on with little one, as its open farm Sunday today. Got soaked, but was good fun.
Oh and swapped my cleats over on my riding shoes earlier.

you may aswell watch it anyway ya Muppet!
Popped out to pick up some Sustrans stickers from a late Ranger's wife, then took the Octavia powerboating over to Malmesbury to visit friends at Abbey House. Lovely weather.
The Bespoke Bristol bike show was lovely - small but packed and lots of lovely people passionate about making bikes and bits - some really cool machines.
Pub lunch, then got home and watched Leogang WC DH - good stuff
Took Son1, Son2 and his friend around Swinley in the rain. Surprisingly empty. Think I saw four cyclists in all - and I thought mountain biking was for all weathers? Top tip... set the alarm for 17:35 to be back for hot chocolate at the cafe ๐
I think I spent longer rinsing the grit away...
Had a great ride today, done a loop from Thursley, thru to the Devils Punchbole, then the Temple of the Winds and returning towards the Devils Punchbowl. Had a complete soaking but still good. Didn't see a single mtber all day.
Racing at Hopton.
Having a seriously lazy day, legs are feeling it a little bit after racing (albeit badly) yesterday. Nice afternoon of bike tinkering, putting the new rocker in the hemlock, shuffling wheels around and suchlike.
left 'my' bothy at 4am

back at the bothy for 9am, bike back down the glen and home for 11am. Thats how to sneak in a nice hillwalk when time is scarce ๐
Bit late commenting - left at 06.45 to try out 26 x 1.35 cross tyres (bought off here) in slimy mud and rain. Worked brilliantly - cut through mud and ran quick on road sections. Sticking with them for the Summer unless it gets really dry and hard.
202km in the wind and rain on the road bike... not pleasant, but a bit of brutality is character building.
Glorious morning in the lakes today. In the saddle at 6:30 am to do 4 passes in one day.(garburn, gatesgarth, nan bield and then back over garburn)Took 6 hours to do 21 miles and 5500 ft of climbing.Got back to the car and it started raining - perfect timing ๐

Pearce Round 3 @ Hopton. 9 hours of rain and mud. Stayed for both race runs unlike about a third of the field. Extra man points.
Not sure if I've ever been colder, wetter or muddier riding my bike!
Still awesome mind ๐
I was at Gold Hill Shaftesbury for the Cyle Revival uphill challenge.
Great day and turn out despite the nasty weather.
The hill where they did the Hovis bread advert. ๐
Nice pictures. The weather looks very nice?
