Anyone else see the guy (Joe Oakley I think) doing the trialsy stuff on Britains got Talent a few minutes ago?

yep, he was cool. I was going to start a thread on this actually because he was good but I got distracted by a cute kitty so posted about that instead ๐Ÿ™‚

Very very talented. Was going to start a "what tyres for impressing Amanda Holden thread", but then realised anything with a suitable amount of silicone would do.

I was trying to watch the triple back flip but it wouldn't play. Then got called into the room to see this guy on a bike!

Pretty impressive in front of an audience like that.

So will the STW massive be voting for him to make the final? Would be pretty cool to have a biker at the Royal Variety.

He was excellent, but lacks the showmanship / flair to win, I reckon. Either he needs to flow better / more in time with the music, or something needs setting on fire.

or blow something up, or introduce a bed of blades/sharp pointy things to jump over. That would be cool........

+1 setting on fire. Although I didn't see it.

He's very good, but lacking the real excitement needed to win that show...

if he sets cowell on fire i'll vote for him.

in fact if he sets the whole panel of judges, the producers and audience then i'll phone up and vote as opposed to some imaginary vote.

this is the first time i'm watching this show!

Odd helmet he wore though - not a very 'trialsy' lid.

Fair play, if you can jump with a piano you deserve to win!

His clothes are a bit naff, he should get some fake tats and a bad ass wardrobe.

Stuffing something down his shorts wouldn't hurt either ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Nice to see some exposure for trails riding. He was very talented but I agree his skill alone lacked the spectale to win, he needs more of a gimmick and a sob backstory about how he rescued a baby robin and fixed it's wing, he watched it fly off like his dreams, but tonight they could come true. A stutter or a scandalous family drama for the tabloids might help too. From what I know talent alone isn't enough.

I didn't think he was *that* good - nothing more impressive than I have seen at various bike events.

It needed some proper danger - shark-infested pools and stuff like that.

You Bet! with Carlo Griggs in the halfpipe. He had to make the task look hard work (funny to watch him sipping fluids every few mins) but it was better to watch..

eighteen years ago.

He needs a set designer and a back-flip or something coz despite his talent it was still like watching paint dry.
