Men love power tools - you can't compare a hoover to an SDS hammer drill or laser guided saw!

I see there's a power washer in there though - now that is like being given a hoover.

Aren't they saying its an ideal gift for fathers day rather than for men? Its more cashing in on made up holidays than sexism IMO. Plenty of this sort of thing on ebay for balance:

Yeah, I'd happily get a power tool as a present* (and often do). I would die a painful death if I bought my wife a vacuum cleaner as a present.

*Although it would be nice to be afforded the time to actually use it when I want rather than constantly being told 'we need to do this' or 'we've got to go there'.

I doesn't discriminate against either sex. I very much doubt that B&Q ran a similar ad in March for Mothers Day, but if you're suggesting that that's sexist - I'd like to see the data to suggest an equal amount of Women as Men would consider a Power Tool a nice gift to themselves.

The idea that we would assume that everyone, everywhere is exactly the same is a more 90s outdated "must be PC" idea - Women and Men are different, whilst if you consider the whole global population than of course there is a HUGE overlap, but to think to be a 'nice person' you should treat everyone as some kind of gender-less, ageless, shapeless, culture-less blob you're wrong - we should never discriminate against anyone because of who they are - but we shouldn't pretend differences don't exist.
