I used to love the sometimes wildly optimistic minutes-countdown to the next tube. It was almost 'Moon minutes' in length!

The tube is brilliant, considering the number of people it has to cart around each day.

And under Ken the buses went from a joke to a punctual and reliable service, almost tot he point where there were too many of them.

If you don't remember the bad old days then don't worry. I see Boris wants to cut £5bn from Transport for London - so they'll be back soon enough.

We pay council taxes, road tax, all sorts of other taxes, we should be ale to commute as we want or need.

Bit short sighted don't you think? And there is no such thing as road tax.

London's certainly a better place without Ken's constant petty whinging, subsidising and do-goodering.

Hear, hear, ........ don't you just hate "do-gooders" ? I saw a young lady helping a very elderly old lady who had dropped her shopping the other day. It made my blood boil 👿 ....... Bleedin do-goodering bastards

Still, Boris got on the case straight away - one of the first things he did as Mayor was to scrap free travel for poor people ..... gawd bless 'im.

And now he's well on the way to significantly increasing pollution in London. So that can't be a good thing, what with the effect on people's health and the environment etc. Thank **** Ken isn't around to mess up his plans.

I can't wait until the Tories are back in government doing lots of bad things such as punishing people for being poor, old, jobless, sick etc etc

Enough of these "go-gooders" I say ! 8)

Why do the poor need to travel ?
Their basic 'poor-person' needs can be easily serviced by a weekly visit from the Tesco truck and a totter down to the local newsagent for a couple of scratch cards and a lucky dip for saturday.......

I cant wait until the Tories are back in power and merely shagging each other then lying about it rather than the lies, mismanagement, soundbites and pandering to the huge public sector vote.

Could we qualify who qualified for free transport? Was it OAPS (fine) or was it the unemployed?

Why do the poor need to travel ?

To service the rich, of course. Do try to keep up, there's a good chap.

The capital city should be a place for wealthy, smart, civilised people who contribute positively to the economy

Like bankers?

hora and the tory MP's will be mightily pleased that the "great unwashed" (and I quote) voted for them.

London commuter cycling is ace apart from this morning when I got incredibly wet feet. Common Boris sort it oooouuuuuuut. As much as I dislike his party and politics I have a horrible feeling the country will be seeing a lot more of him in the future, he ain't stupid, he's learning to make watchable speeches and my girlfriend likened him to Burlusconi. We could well be in trouble...

I saw him talking at conference about the Transport for London cuts.

Kept hammering an awful semi-joke about "the equal opportunities away day" or something, while explaining how he was going to cut £5bn from TfL. Nobody was laughing.
