Now I'm not a plane buff but this sort of thing does interest me. Copied off another forum...

Boeing 787 Dreamliner, first flight today (18.00?)

I've been inside one. 8) A little over a year ago. It was the one that's rolling out today as well.

It's a very good looking thing, with some really clever ideas! The wings are almost glamorous to look at.

Creepy thing was touching the fuselage, as it's warm to the touch.

Is this the one that has composite everything? (hence warm to the touch)

Thankfully the Airbus A400M managed to get in the air first, as I had a wager on it ๐Ÿ™‚

CFH, I'd have expected you to have been involved in the "mile high club" proving tests of the "bathroom" facilities.

We make some bits on that. We're getting free bacon baps tomorrow morning to celebrate the first flight ๐Ÿ™‚

Has it got RR or GE engines for the maiden flight?

I hear they are trying it out on a conveyor belt first, just in case. ๐Ÿ˜‰
