My Blackberry screen has died!
How can I transfer the contacts to a standard Nokia phone?
The rest of it still works and it receives calls, no doubt it could dial out if I could see the screen.
I have connected it to my PC and backed it up. I can open the folders in windows and see pics and stuff.
When I first got it I had my contacts saved on a Sim Card on a normal Samnsung phone and simply put the card in the Blackberry and could access the contacts.
However, I have to use a basic Nokia phone until I can get the blackberry replaced but when I put the sim in the phone I cannot see any contacts.
Am I missing something obvious but it would appear that I am now almost forced to use a Blackberry to save my contacts with the transfer to new device function in the software?
Any ideas?
Can you back up your contacts to the PC, then sync the Nokia with your PC ?
Saving contacts to a SIM these days is a bad idea for a number of reasons, but generally you cannot fit a modern multi-line address book onto one.
Syncing via the PC would be the way to go. I'd probably use Outlook as the glue here; sync the BB with Outlook, then sync that back to the Nokia.
Alternatively it might be possible to export to / import from a file, but I've neither Blackberry Desktop nor PC Suite here so I'd be guessing at best.
