[#1755599]

She has a ticket for the Big Bike Bash
She has a rampant rabbit
She has pretty much everything she wants

When asked she said she didn't want anything but I am not falling for that again!

Something less than £1,000, that can be picked up or delivered by Friday, not bike related.

Naked (but arty) pictures with a professional photographer?

Then a good meal out and a drunken shag? 🙂

I suggest a new bag and a belt.

I got for mine, and the hoover works a treat now

Do you really think the photographer would do all that for a grand?

Many Women like to be pampered so a weekend at a spa type place always goes down well. My wife has lots of things and prefers stuff she can do these days. European weekend break or something like that?

It has been a while since WCA reminded us about his massive disposable income. And indeed it's been a while since he mentioned Hit The North, for which tickets are still available. 😀

I reckon she'd probably like a go on Ashton Kutcher.

They love bags that's true - Mulberry is what my wife likes makes XTR look cheap!

£1000 is a limit, not a target.

If I said £10, £100 or £1000 people would bitch at me. It is not a massive dispoable income, I am out of work next Friday .It is a deep love for the wife and a life time of debt.

HTN tickets are still for sale and the moreof you go the better the event. The guy doing it work really hard and this year there was a fear it wouldn't go ahead. Please buy tickets NOW.

Weekend? In a posh hotel?

You will need all £1k for that.

Take her to RitzCarlton Powerscourt, Dublin - you will *just* get a suite for a couple of nights + flights + a meal in Ramsey's restaurant + limo to/from the airport for around that.

A truly wonderful place.

Lol @ BigDummy

BigBikeBash - If you'd given a little more notice one of our lovely handbags would have been just the perfect gift http://emmyjane-design.blogspot.com/

You are going to get stick for equating deep love with big spending... 😉

I suggest two nights here and a nice bag:

http://www.hotelendsleigh.com

Had two nights there a while back - most amazing place we have ever stayed. Get a suite if you can.

I suggest keeping it for the mortgage if you're out of work, I'm sure she'd prefer that.

Fine wines and Belgian chocolates not been mentioned yet? 🙂

I am currently doing some research into adult toys for a client.

It is dead easy to spend £1k on one - you can get them in solid platinum and a personal message engraved if you fancy (for MUCH more than £1k).

Mad.

There is a place called Careys Manor down in the new forest which earned me several hundred bownie points last time I splashed out on it. Lymington is nearby and quite nice and you can hire horses and stuff. I went to the nearby Motor Mueseum whilst she had all sorts of Thai spa type stuff.

Careys Manor

My brother-in-law worked there for some time - it is nice and the spa is the best I have been to in the UK - very nice. Especially when we had a full day for £0 8)

The museum is at Beaulieu - never managed to get there myself.

Not sure where you are, but I took mine to see:

http://www.londontheatreboxoffice.net/theatre/The-Woman-in-Black?gclid=CNWd15iayKICFUeZ2AodXX4m6w

And (deep breath for all the public transport luvvies), drove in and parked just around the corner - so she could go 'posh'.

Plus pre-theatre dinner.

Absolutely top performance.

I sent my wife on a perfume making course, admittedly in Grasse, in the south of France, but she loved it. Maybe she struck lucky in creating something she really liked, but she reckons it's the best birthday present she's had. She keeps reordering the stuff too, so guess she might be telling the truth.

Switch your phone off, take her for a walk somewhere quiet, have a light lunch, listen to her without interrupting every few seconds, buy her a small painting from an art gallery just because she likes it, cuddle up at home and fall asleep together. And if she wants "something extra" don't argue and get down on her. She'll be pleased almost certainly. If not, the Oracle will help, I'm sure.

Trip to Ghent and buy a Mulberry or Delvaux bag while you're there? NB: the Delvaux bag will be at least half of that budget!

Make sure you go to De Graslei for chocolates!

If you want to give her a real surprise, take her up the OXO Tower.

Myla is good, as is Agent Provocateur. You do have an account, I assume? 😉

Other nice ideas - A pair of bespoke shoes and/or a bag from the utterly brilliant www.henuk.com

Mulberry. Anything from Mulberry.

Or, failing that, some scent from the duty free store and a tip top shagging.
