That's the kind of comedy I like, can anyone recommend any more?

No, but have you seen "American - The Bill Hicks Story"? Brilliant film.

Hmmmm. I don't think Kelly Montieth is gonna cut it....

I assume you've explored Frankie Boyle?

jerry sadowitz

I've met Jerry Sadowitz. I was walking down a side street in Edinburgh and he was sat outside a cafe nursing a coffee. I asked him if he'd mind if I took a picture and he agreed. I think he was a bit surprised that anyone knew who he was. Proper gent.

Chris Rock did some cracking stand up before he went all Hollywood. Check out Bring The Pain.

I'd say Stuart Lee and Jerry Sadowitz are the best in the UK now. Jerry is doing some shows for a video he is recording this weekend.

Bill Hicks was brilliant in his day, now looks a bit less so, perhaps because so many people have ripped him off... including Dennis Leary - and if you want to have fun - see what Hicks used to say about Leary.

Stuart Lee has a new series of his "Comedy Vehicle" coming quite soon.

Lenny Bruce

He told police the drugs they found were aspirin. His reply when asked why he needed a syringe.
"Can't stand the taste of the stuff"

Who was that big blonde American bloke that died - was on The Tube a couple of times I think. He was similar.

I was gonna say Louis CK also - very funny at times, though can be a bit annoying.

The few half decent US comics out there seem to walk that fine line.

Oh and Lewis Black and Joe Rogan are some more recommendations for the OP.

I assume it is just US comics required.
