I'm travelling through london tomorrow with my bike.
Will be meeting a friend for some food on my way through.
Wondering if there are any bike friendly places near Kings Cross station/ central london general where I wont have my bike stolen?
I regularly lock up my bike outside King’s Cross station for 6-10 hours and it’s always been fine. It’s a very busy area with lots of police and much of it is partially privatised and has a security. So you’re safe from both opportunistic thieves and “I can do anything, I’m wearing hi vis” types.
Thanks for the tip.
Anyone else got suggestions?
Via Atelier is an extremely poncey bike shop a couple of mins north of KGX with a cafe inside and a rack outside you can lock to in full view from the cafe.
I wasn't sure how far you wanted to go given you said KGX/central, but LooksMumNoHands sprang to mind initially. Either that or a short ride to Fork deli would be in order and leave you bike in view of the window perhaps? Fitzrovia is nice enough that I'd imagine your bike would be safe enough for a while.
Also in Coal Drops yards is Vermuteria. Not been and their website doesn't appear to be working but is apparently cycle friendly. To be honest theres a lot of outdoor space at Coal Drops so expect there would be any number of places you could go to there
Look Mum No Hands closed a while back.
