Steam leaking from around the safety valve. Anyone have any thoughts/expertise in (non-toxic - filling the thread with loctite would probably solve it...) methods of fixing this?

Can you unscrew the valve (mine has a nut on the outside) and investigate? Haven't had any reason to take mine apart, so just wondering if there's a perished o-ring in there.

That may be the problem, actually - it is screwed in, but it's just metal-on-metal. I shall see if I can get a small o-ring, as that should seal it without resorting to glue that might bung up the safety valve.

Contact them or the importer for spares.

Krupps sent me a seal for free as dealers were clueless when asking for one, contacted Krupps and they knew the exact part and sent me one out.

Over filling?

I don't think it's that - I've had leaking from where the two halves join when I overfill it; it does seem to be a leak from round the safety valve (there's always a bit of steam from this is use).

Overfilling shouldn't cause an issue - I've done it plenty of times with no problem
