for the best quality that is.i used to have one of those fm transmitter jobs and then tuned to its frequency but with my new car stereo being better quality i can notice the sound is actually quite poor.im no audio file but id like it to be decent.the car has a radio cassette head unit and 6 disc multichanger in the boot
I just changed my factory fitted headunit for one with usb out on it. Just easier than faffing about.
I now have an iPod living in my glovebox that is controlled via the head unit and no wires anywhere, as the unit i have has usb and aux cables out the back, so just fed them through the dash into the glovebox.
Got one of these:

depends what car it is and what stereo it has fitted. what is it?
Just look for the "made for iPod" on any unit and it should do everything you need
just posted this on another thread, had it for a while charges and perfect signal
i can notice the sound is actually quite poor
Welcome to world of digital music. 🙂
I got an adapter that plugged into the CD multichanger socket (no great loss as it was always jumping on rough roads)
