Hora - someone's built one that big near Kingbee records, only with a proper igloo next to it. Igloos are the challenge...

My wife does not approve, she says it is a bit sick! Although at least I did this in the back garden, she really was not impressed by the pregnant snow-lady in the front garden. Apparently snow-people shouldn't have breasts or outy belly buttons.

Alwyn,

That's impressive stuff from your mate's little brother!

I built this one with a decent snowpack, a couple of assistants and quite a lot of time. proud of it, but I know how difficult it is even with better conditions than you get in england.

Family answers a high calling
Grace Yancey might someday write a book about her childhood winters – the igloo playhouse, a breezy three-sided latrine and visitors from around the world at her Little House in the Purcells.
The 4-year-old lives like other kids, at home in Sandpoint, most of the year. But during the winter, she and her family are dropped off by helicopter to survive at 6,500 feet in the snowbound Purcell Mountains of British Columbia.
