Going to the football on Saturday, heading from the north, where would be a good place to dump the car and get on the Metro?

Prestwich and Whitefield stations are both within a mile of the M60, J17 (turn left for one, turn right for the other).
plenty of parking next to both stations.

There'll be plenty of parking near to the stadium, you'll find lots of unofficial, but safe, car parks in the area.

If it's for Olympic football there are free buses for you to catch.
I went on Sunday and there were lots of them.
