Im after a Sonos Play3 and a Sonos Connect. Normal price seems to be £538 with very little variation between retailers (I sense price fixing) but richer sounds have quoted £519 (and John Lewis will price match)
So - anywhere else I should try before I commit??
Worth keeping an eye on Hot UK Deals - I bought my Bridge and S5 (Play:5) combo over a year ago having seen a good price on there.
costco sometimes stock sonos but they only seemed to have s5 in white when i checked. got my s3 from john lewis with 'free' bridge and they where cheaper than richer sounds.
There are a few places doing the free bridge, but the connect will be next to my network switch so no need. John Lewis just confirmed they would match £519 so will probably do that
Worth keeping an eye out on eBay. There are a couple of people who sell gear on there who are Sonos authorised supply and fitters but not supposed to just sell. They get around this by selling without the box, will come with full warranty though. Not looked for a while but I picked a connect up for around £200
Wouldn't you need the bridge for the sonos 3 though?
For £19 I'd buy it from a retailer who gives some advice/back up
We got a Sonos 5 today and a bridge for £370.
Its usually worth checking out Richer Sounds for Sonos stuff.
They are usually at good prices and they actually know what they are talking about!
richersounds.co.uk is their web site, they have stores all around the country too
(I have no connection with them other than usually buying my hifi and tvs from them)
Hope this helps

ours was from John Lewis
Ended up getting John Lewis to price match Richer Sounds. Play3 and a Connect for £519. It's rather brilliant too!!
I posted above re the need for a bridge, have you hardwired them both to your network? or are you streaming wirelessly to the play 3? If so, don't you need a bridge to do that?
I'm about to buy, hence the questions...
The connect is hard wired and acts as a hub for the play3. Alternatively I could hard wire the play3 and the connect would work wirelessly. You only need one component to be hard wired and it will wifi to 36 other units. Bridge is only needed if you just want one device and don't want to hardware it.

Or if your router is not near to where you want your players... I have the bridge connected to the router and then a Play3 in the kitchen and ZP120 in the living room.
Cheers for the replies, understand now!
