I actually need to have the HDD installed by an apple reseller (so as not to invalidate the applecare) so might end up getting it through them too but what about RAM? Need 4gb
i knew there was somewhere id forgotten! cheers
I can recommend crucial! I bought the 4GB (2*2GB) for my macbook, took about 5 minutes to change. The HDD is really simple too! Which Mac do you have? I think you can change it without invalidating the warranty, or at the least, you could always swap it back!
It would be worth speaking to the reseller. They don't have to charge Apple prices. When I bought a Mac Mini a couple of years ago, the reseller fitted the ram upgrade (the most stupidest computer to open in the world!) and only charged me a couple of quid more than Play.com wanted for it.
It was scotsys that did it for me.
scotsys in glasgow? i always found them pretty rude and they are no more anyway.
changing RAM doesnt affect warranty but HDD does (except new macbook pros) and as got 2 years applecare to run id rather not
